August 13th is National Filet Mignon Day. Usually from a steer or a heifer, filet mignon is a steak cut of beef taken from the smaller end of a tenderloin of the beef carcass.

If we go out to eat and I am craving steak, this is always the cut I get. My favorite place to get this is at Le Cellier Steak House in Epcot. The AAA Canadian Tenderloin, with Mushroom Risotto, Asparagus-Tomato Relish and Truffle-Butter Sauce is absolutely delicious. We’ve been to this restaurant every time we go to Disney and we have gotten this meal every single time.

Danny’s is quite the griller and he makes this quite frequently for both just us and for company. He just uses a mixture of kosher salt, pepper, cayenne, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder.
Bon Appetit!
